CROSS COUNTRY - The Suffolk Winter League 2009-2010

Race 3: 6^th December 2009, Woodbridge (Sutton Village Hall)

Junior race starts at 11am and Senior race at 11.15am so meet

at 10am.

The Woodbridge race is over the new course and new venue introduced last year - Sutton Village Hall - which is approx 3 miles from Woodbridge. The Village Hall is on the southern edge of the village – leave the A12 at the Orford roundabout (1^st Woodbridge roundabout if coming from the North; 3^rd if coming from the South), taking the A1152 East down the hill to the Melton traffic lights. Straight on over the level crossing to the mini roundabout, fork right on the Bawdsey/Shottisham Road (B1083) to Sutton, following the Runner signs. There is ample parking.

The Junior and Senior races are run over the same basic course, which is mixed terrain and entirely off-road. The distances are approx 1.8 miles for Juniors and 5.3 miles for Seniors. The start for both races is approx 500m from the Hall. The finish for both races is on the field next to the Hall.  There is good space for changing in the hall, along with other facilities, but there are no showers.

It’s 7 men and 3 women to score in the senior races so we need a good turnout to do well. There's no charge for Juniors but it’s £3 for Seniors.  Club vests must be worn. Check http://www.ipswich-harriers.co.uk/ for results.
